🐉🐍What is Zine?
Zine, in our instance, is a fanmade collection of art and writing focusing on a particular fandom or ship (in this case, Kazumaji from Ryu Ga Gotoku franchise) that is either printed or digitally collected, typically including either digital or physical merch.🐉🐍Why “Receive You”?
“Receive You” song itself is Kiryu’s theme song that was played when Kiryu first met Majima. There is also one in every game with a variation such as “Receive and Bite You” for Yakuza 4 and “TSU-N-DE Receive You” for RGG Kenzan. These are Majima’s theme song that adapted from Kiryu’s “Receive You” theme song.
Receive You Zine; just like the song itself, will include different versions of kazumaji whether throughout the game or even an alternate universe.🐉🐍Is this zine digital or physical?
This zine will be available for purchase physically and digitally! For more info on the physical zine sections, check the answer below.🐉🐍Is this zine NSFW?
In a sense, yes. For the physical zine, there will be a QR Code inside the pages to link the digital NSFW mini zine. This is because from our interest check, 46% voted to have the NSFW content, but make them separated from the physical zine. The digital NSFW mini zine will not be sold separately nor can it be removed from its physical zine. However, other than the QR Code leading to the link, all of the pages printed will be strictly SFW.
(update): "Receive All of You" will be the official name of our NSFW Zine.🐉🐍Can there be other characters (i.e. Haruka, Akiyama, etc) in the zine?
Yes! It will be up to the contributors' choices, but though we do ask that the relationship of Kiryu and Majima should still be the main focus of the piece. Haruka will not be allowed in the NSFW pieces.

Application Submission

🐉🐍Who can apply for the contributors?
Considering there will be NSFW pieces created for the zine, all contributors must be at least 18 to apply.🐉🐍Do I need past experience in zines to apply for the contributors?
We do not require any zine experience from applicants. As the saying on Majima Construction goes, "We welcome employees from all walks of life! No experience required!"🐉🐍Can I apply for multiple positions?
You may apply for multiple positions, but you must fill out separate applications for Writers only form and Artist/Merch Artist forms, and you will only be accepted in one position. In each positions, you may also volunteer to contribute multiple pieces in your applications, such as applying both SFW and NSFW roles (for Artist and Writer), providing a spot art for the zine's layout (for Artist), or providing the stretch goals illustration merch (for Merch Artist).🐉🐍How will mods keep in contact with contributors?
Our mods will stay in contact with the contributors through email and through our Discord server.🐉🐍Are there going to be collabs between artists and writers?
Collaboration between artists and writers of the contributors will be completely up to the individuals (with approval of the mods) and is not required to work on the zine.

🐉🐍Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we will ship internationally to countries that are open to receiving international mail from Indonesia.🐉🐍Is this US-based only or is it worldwide?
The zine is a collaboration for all of the people who enjoy kazumaji worldwide, as our mods also come from different regions of the world. (Asia/Europe/USA)🐉🐍How are the compensation for the artists for their work?
If our sales allow it, our main priority will be providing all contributors with a free copy of the physical zine (shipping included). However, if the sales are not enough to fully cover the production costs for both our customers and contributors, then all contributors will be given the option to purchase themselves a copy at the production price (which will be significantly cheaper than the price for everyone else). Additionally, the contributors will all get a copy of the digital zine and the digital merch bundle for free, regardless of sales.🐉🐍Will preorder money go to admins/contributors?
No, as this zine is non for profit (please check our answer above). To reiterate, there will be no monetary compensation to contributors.

Content Guidelines

With "Receive You" as our main theme, just like the song itself, we ask our contributors to include different versions of Kazumaji of their own choosing throughout the games chronologically, whether its canon compliant, canon divergence, or even AUs. Basically Everything Kazumaji!✨ Kazumaji must always the main focus of the piece. Though other characters are also allowed in the zine (e.g., Haruka, Akiyama, etc).
✨ Kiryu and Majima's pairing must only be Kazumaji. Additionally, other characters pairing is ok!
✨ Though mature themes are allowed, please avoid heavy and potentially triggering content. Canon-Typical violence is acceptable.
✨ All pieces that are going to be printed must be SFW. You are only allowed to make NSFW if you are accepted by the mod with the NSFW role for the mini digital NSFW zine.
✨ Non-con/incestuous/under age rating pieces are strictly prohibited.

Page Artists

Your application samples should consist of 3-5 of your best works (fully colored and finished pieces with simple to detailed background).- Select pieces that best represent your current art style
- Show examples of preferably couple-based artworks (not necessarily Kazumaji)
- Upload accordingly to what you are applying (i.e., SFW works for SFW roles, and NSFW works for NSFW roles. Both works if you are applying for both roles)NOTE: Traditional media artists can participate in this zine, as long as you have the ability to scan and submit a digital version of your piece at a high quality (300dpi and at required size) and print-ready.All page artists will be required to provide ONE fully finished piece. If the contributor wishes to, they can choose to do a mini comic instead of an illustration. In your application, you may also volunteer to contribute multiple pieces in your applications, such as applying both SFW and NSFW roles and/or providing a spot art for the zine's layout.

Merch Artists

Your application samples should consist of 3-5 of your best works of your previous merch designs.- Select pieces that best represent your current art style
- Show examples of artworks you've made into merch items (e.g., prints, acrylic keychains, sticker sheet, etc)
- Show examples of preferably couple-based merch designs (not necessarily Kazumaji)
- Your pieces are not required to have a backgroundIf you don’t have previous merch designs, you may submit merch-like examples that you’ve made (e.g. chibi or non-chibi artwork).All merch artists will be required to provide at least ONE design for merch items. In your application, you may also volunteer to contribute multiple pieces in your applications, such as providing the stretch goals illustration merchandise.

Writers

Your application samples should consist of 3-5 of your best writing works (1.5k - 3k words).- Select pieces that best represent your current writing style.
- Show examples of heavily preferable Kazumaji, as well as Kiryu and/or Majima character study fics as it is the specific couples/characters that you are going to write for in this zine. If you don't have a Kazumaji/Kiryu/Majima writing example, you may submit any of your best selected writings.
- Please show pieces that are up to 3k words long.
- If all your pieces are multichapters, you can submit a single, well-rounded chapter as an example.
- Upload accordingly to what you are applying (i.e., SFW works for SFW roles, and NSFW works for NSFW roles. Both works if you are applying for both roles.)If you don’t have a 1.5 - 3k fic at your disposal at the moment, you may submit the shortest fic you have (preferably under 5k).All writers will be required to provide ONE complete writing piece with the word limit of 1200 - 1800 words (a max cap of 2000 words) for SFW and word limit of 1200 - 2800 words (a max cap of 3000 words) for NSFW. In your application, you may also volunteer to contribute multiple pieces in your applications, such as applying both SFW and NSFW roles.
